British artist, born in 1961, Walbeoffe graduated from the Wimbledon School of Art and has painted and exhibited in many parts of the world ever since.
She is widely collected and well known as a travel painter. She paints watercolours in Situ in the landscape of Africa, the Middle East and Europe. In her studio she works on oils from her watercolours as well as painting portraits and still-lives.
Walbeoffe is also one of Kenya’s most successful artists. This exhibition is a collection of her studio here in Nairobi. It shows a variety of mediums and styles she works in. From the juicy oil paintings, bright and vibrant watercolours to the more traditional charcoal drawings and etchings.
Walbeoffe is currently working on a book of watercolours of Lamu Island in Kenya, and a monograph of her paintings have been commissioned by The Unicorn Press.
